Pricing is always one of the most popular topics at TaxCoach meetings. When Keith and I launched TaxCoach back in 2005, it was a struggle to convince members they could actually charge for tax planning. Now we routinely see members charging five figures for a single plan! We’ll open Thursday morning with a survey of TaxCoach members’ pricing trends. Then we’ll move to masterminding and a series of group polls to help you build a pricing framework you can feel confident taking back home.

Making yourself a celebrity in your local market is a great way to attract clients, eliminate fee resistance, and even train clients to behave the way you want! But how does a tax professional become a celebrity? We’ll spend Thursday afternoon “climbing the celebrity ladder,” examining how you can use the media to your best advantage, and analyzing success stories from your TaxCoach peers. Where better than Vegas to shine a spotlight on your practice? By the end of the day, you’ll be ready for your closeup!

News You Can Use
An ancient Chinese curse holds “may you live in interesting times.” And with today’s debt-ceiling debates, an ongoing recession, and upcoming Presidential election, we definitely live in interesting times! We’ll spend Friday morning analyzing the day’s news from a very specific perspective: how can we use it to grow our business? We’ll also talk about pros and cons of revealing your own politics and taking public positions on contentious issues.
